Mother's Day

The lakefront was absolutely fabulous today! Even though it's extremely hot today (high 80s) it was perfect out by the lake. It felt like it was spring not summer for mother's day. I was worried that it would be too hot to sit outside for brunch but the lake worked her magic and provided a wonderful breeze that kept us comfortable. It was very relaxing and I was able to unwind a little before I return to studying. Today will be a mix of subjects and tomorrow the hardcore studying for one subject begins. As far as I know I have a B in that first final class, but I won't jump for joy yet, that grade can easily be a D or worse if I calculated it wrong. I'm glad my mom was able to enjoy her day so far. I can't imagine life without her. She's always been there when I needed her or not and I'm very thankful for that. Our Mother's Days have changed since her grandmother passed away 2 years ago. We always went to visit her on Mother's Day but now that's changed and I think mom and I have become closer since then. I know she's enjoyed her presents that I gave her today and I'm really glad too. I did forget the flowers this year but there are flowers out in the backyard that she loves and I think I'll be cutting some for her today.
Happy Mother's Day!
